Skillet has no accounts. You never make one, and we never have a profile for you.

What stays on your phone

Your saved recipes, cookbook, pantry, shopping lists, criteria presets, and cooking history are stored only on your device. They are never uploaded, and we cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them.

What is sent to generate a recipe

When you ask for a recipe, the criteria you chose — equipment, cuisine, ingredients, dietary needs, allergies, and any free text you typed — are sent to our server, which forwards them to an AI model provider to generate the recipe and its picture. We do not store the criteria or the recipe.

Do not type anything into the free-text boxes you would not want processed by a third-party AI provider.

What our server keeps

That is the complete list. There is no database of users, because there are no users to put in one.

What we do not do

Children

Skillet is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing that would identify one.

Questions or a deletion request: skillet@trevormil.com. Since nothing identifying you is stored, there is generally nothing for us to delete — clearing the app does it.
